well, it went something like that...

• customer: hey, how much is an exam?
• me: $54
• customer: so how much are your frames?
• me: well, it depends. the lowest are $9 but they go up to $136 depending on what you choose. and then the lenses are on top of that price.
• customer: oh really? dang. so, if i wanted to just get the cheapest pair of glasses, how much would that be?
• me: the cheapest pair? you can get a pair of glasses for $38.
• customer: oh. so, it's gonna cost like, $200?
• me: **squint eyes**cock head** ???

these conversations happen frequently. Sometimes i wonder how people moved on from ELEMENTARY school...
